This theme reminds me of the book The Giver, by Lois Lowry. Among many ideas, the book explores the idea of disposing of the elderly when they reach a certain state in life. Unfortunately our society seems to follow those same ideas of disposing of things that are old or aged. Thats one reason why the book in the photograph holds so much meaning for me. It is filled with the teachings of Joseph Fielding Smith. They are old precepts, but that does not negate the fact of their importance and validity in our day and age.
